Here lies the 9-to-5 leasing office, 1946–2026

Renters didn't mourn.
They toured on their schedule instead.

In Memoriam

The 9-to-5 Leasing Office

1946 – 2026

The Standard 9 to 5 Leasing Office passed away at 5:01 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, alone at its desk.

It was raised on paper guest cards, brass keys, and the unshakable belief that renters would leave work early to find an apartment. It lived long enough to see online listings, smartphones, and same-day everything. The laminated BUSINESS HOURS sign never budged.

Cause of Death

Renters stopped organizing their lives around office hours a long time ago.

Preceded in Death By
